An NBp Exclusive - Harrison Ford, one of Hollywood's most
bankable actors, told NBp in a recently imagined interview that making
a movie like The Fugitive has been a dream of his since he was
a child. Ford, who grew up in a small town in Wyoming, said that it
was frustrating for him as a child when no one would believe him
when he would talk about the one armed boy.
"Imagine how you would feel if you spent an hour working on your homework,
only to have a mysterious one armed boy come in and take the homework
away from you," explained Ford. "I never did figure out who that kid was
or where he came from. Or even how he would get into our house.
"I remember one time when we had just gotten new carpet installed. I
was eating a bowl of ice cream, and the one armed boy came over and
knocked it out of my hands and onto the floor. My mom was really
annoyed that I had messed up the brand new carpet, and she just wouldn't
believe that the one armed boy did it.
"The worst was when the one armed boy threw a baseball through Old
Man Withers' window and then ran away, leaving me standing there alone
with a baseball bat. Everyone assumed I did it and, once again,
no one believed my story about the one armed boy.
"So, when this script for The Fugitive came along, I couldn't
believe it when I read it! I thought, 'Finally! A chance for me to
get back at that one armed boy, and to prove my innocence!' I caution
all parents to take it seriously if your child says that their homework
was taken by a one armed boy, or eaten by the dog or the monster from
the closet. Sometimes, it's true!"
