"For almost a year, Byproducts.com has been a premier fake news
outlet on the web. Today, April 1st, we are pleased to announce
that we will be going head to head with top real news outlets like
CNN and MSNBC," announced Byproducts editor Kev.
"We haven't run a single story, fake or otherwise, about that
Elian Gonzales kid. We haven't tackled the serious business issues
like Internet patents. Now we will, with that same attention to
quality that we have shown in more than 150 articles to date.
"In accordance with our more serious tone, we will stop selling
rubber chickens and whoopee cushions and start selling shoes.
Shoes are serious, boring things to sell so they would go perfectly
with a serious, boring news site. To quote the famous saying,
'I lamented that I had no shoes until I saw the man who sold them.'
"So, welcome to the new Byproducts.com. Sit back, relax, and try
not to fall asleep."
